Hi,

I've made a huge map in Duke (needs Eduke to run), and just a few hours ago, map started to tilt duke. Duke just shutdown when I start to play my map.

I got huge amount of stuff, like sprites, walls, sectors and etc on a same place. Maybe there are like just too many stuff visible for Duke?

And yeah, here's the map: http://kk4.fi:81/u/pmw05.zip
Just start the game and load pmw05-map, game goes down immediately.

This problem appeared when I made the big lightposts.

It would be VERY sad to stop making this map because of this problem, so huge now. :insomnia:

I just tried it and it worked fine. I took a couple of screenshots:

Strange. My Duke just falls down.

What video mode you are using? I got 8bit classic. Maybe becuse of it? Also my Eduke is version 1.40 beta. Yours?

Ok it seems to be a somekind of Videomode -problem.

When I use 1024x768 8bit Fullscreen -mode, game stucks.
BUT, when I use 640x480 8bit Windowed -mode, game works fine.

eddym4814, did you use Windowed or Fullscreen?

I used Eduke3220090313, the March 13, 2009 version, at 800x600x32 full screen the first time. I just tried 800x600x8 full screen and 1024x768x8 full screen and still had no problem. I don't think there is anything wrong with your map.

Edit: You can get the current version of EDuke32 Here. (http://wiki.eduke32.com/stuff/eduke32_current.zip)

OK Thanks! My old Eduke version was 1.4, and exe-file's size was something like 500kB. Now file size is like 1.5mB.. I think I found a problem.

Now with updated Eduke, map works fine. Thanks very much!

Your welcome. :)

Also if you have any other problems or questions you may want to ask at Duke4.net. (http://forums.duke4.net/) You will probably get a faster response there.
