People showing up as "guests"

I know annoymous users can't post on this forum I was just wondering why do people have the name "guest" under there name, or have username guest. Are they just people that were banned or something?

No, if you're banned, your posts wouldn't show as guest.

"Guest" means they've been outright deleted.
