I can't install Max Payne - please read

Okay My specs can handle max payne cos i got the demo and it's fine. But yesterday I bought the game and when i go to install it gets to 100% and says

"unable to install max payne please delete the folder in program files blah blah and re-install. Now every time I re-install the message keeps coming up.

Can ne1 help me?

Please do a full install to a completely new folder. The problem you're describing should only appear when the installer tries to check for a file called "cd.ini" in the installtion folder. The "cd.ini" file is used only for the minimum install to tell the game where to look for the cd.

Well yesterday I took the game back and got a new CD, but I come to the installation screen and the bastards at GAME sold be a french cd! Well the error i got on that was the abort, retry, and fail i think!

Well hopefully i can get the right faulty images/icons/shocked.gif cd and install it like u said?

This problem is affecting my commandos 2 game as well. I hope my computer aint breakin down!

Well i did what you said but still! it's not working and i get the message. Should i copy the files from the cd onto the c: drive and install it there?
