View Full Version : Taking screenshots
OK, I read the FAQ that came with Max Payne and wrote in the -screenshot to the shortcut icon in the target line and it looks as follows: "C:\Program Files\Max Payne\MaxPayne.exe" -screenshot. the problem is that when I press the F10 button nothing happenes. I tried the Prnt Screen button and noting there either. Where are the shots going or do I have the text entered incorrectly in the shortcut? images/icons/confused.gif

Try putting the -screenshot inside the quotes ("... -screenshot"). If Windows doesn't accept it (my Win98 doesn't), change your game directory name to MaxPayne instead of Max Payne and do the same for the directory name in the shortcut. If you have Max Payne isntalled in the Program Files -directory move it to some other directory that has only one word in its name. Then you can just remove the quotes in the shortcut target and it should work.

The only way i know of takeing a screen shot is to press "print screen". Then pause the game, press "ALT+Tab" to go to desktop. Open a photo program and paste the picture there. Then save the picture as whatever you want.

My shortcut looks just like that (although I use the -developer and -developerkeys options also) and it works perfectly... nothing actually happens on-screen when you take a screenshot but when you exit you should find them in targa (*.tga) format in a folder called screenshots in your Max Payne directory.
thx fellas... i got it to work but now i need to convert the files to bmp so i will be able to use em for wallpaper
