I am having the same video memory problems everyone else is having. I have tried everything posted so far without success. I think my problem is in the DirectX 8.0. I have a Voodoo 5 (64 MB) video card but when I do a DirectX Diag. under the display tab it tells that i have Approx. 30.5 MB of memory! So what happened to the 64 MB?? Any solutions would be greatly appreciated- I've just about given up on this game.

ALAS, someone with a brain. I've got a VooDoo 3 3k agp, and havn't been able to play and i'm gettin' close to giving up too. My card has 16mb on it, and DxDiag also reports the memory size incorrectly, it says 15mb. depending on the resolution/color depth it has also reported 14.5 mb! DX8 must round off. Intresting enough though
an old game i still love and play, Sports Car GT,
allows you to play in Glide, DX, and software mode
and depending on what you pick shows you how much
available mem the vid display has. It reports Glide to have 16mb, DX 15mb, and software mode 15mb. So i think you're right, the whole problems lies in the drivers for DX. Maybe you should try using the unofficial drivers from www.voodoofiles.com. (http://www.voodoofiles.com.) i would but i'm too chicken to try them. I use my pc too much besides gaming to afford any downtime. anyway good luck...

I also have a Voodoo 3 3000 AGP, and have the same memory situation as described by OneTrip (dxdiag reporting either 14.5 or 15Mb depending on resolution/colour depth).
Also, selecting double buffer doesn't help either - I'm now downloading DX8.1 and hoping that'll help...

Something I forgot to mention though, and find quite odd is that the demo runs fine with DX8.0...

Thought I'd just check back to say that Direct X 8.1 has indeed sorted out my problem too.
