Well, I got the new Detonator XP drivers, so of course it's slightly messed up.
I run MP right now at:
1024x768x16
32-bit color
Anisotropic filtering
Triple buffers
Quincunx antialiasing
All high
I have a:
AMD 1.3GHz
256 DDR RAM
Geforce 3

1.3 P4
384 ram
Geforce3 Detonator XP v21.81
The new drivers haven't given me one problem at all. All my games run smoother. My system is less challenged.

GeForce 2 MX 64 MB
256 MB RAM
30 GB HD
Athlon 1.3 ghz
I run it on medium setting on 1152x864x16
NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.
I found that decreasing it to x16 instead of x32 increases performance IMMENSLY.

Hatch, it's no wonder the drivers give you no problem if you only run MP at 800x600. And the drivers improve performance in all other games.
Here's what to do, fellow Geforce 3 owners whose games keep crashing because of the new drivers:
-Play at 1024x768x16
-Keep the color depth at 32-bit
-At least on MY Geforce3, games actually run BETTER when I put on high details and FSAA. I run the game with Anisotropic filtering, Quincunx antialiasing, Low decal limits and shadows (I personally don't give a flying crap about how many bullet holes are in a wall; I just kill everyone and never go back to that room. And Shadows actaully look better on Medium. On high there is a seperate shadow beneath each foot, and I don't really care for that. Just lower whatever doesn't matter to you.), and everything else High.

800x600 has always been fine with me. I've tried higher resolutions but don't care for them. Why would the game crash with the Detonator XP v21.81 drivers and the resolution set higher?
Some older games I run where chopping until I installed the new drivers. Also I play Operation Flashpoint and it plays alot better. Over all I've seen improvement. Games crashes are not good. Hope things get fixed quick. =)
