View Full Version : Max 1: Painkillers not working

Hey
so i'm in chapter 5 now on max payne 1 (i've beaten it before, but like 3 years ago...) and for some reason (starting around ch 2) i can't take any painkillers. every time i try to open them, it says painkillers are full even though i'm always at low health (like up to my head, a couple shots kill me). does anybody have any idea why this is happening? i've tried to enter some painkiller cheats and they also don't work.
let me know if this has happened to you, because it's really frustrating

let me know if this has happened to you, because it's really frustratingI have never heard of this before except that I had a similar problem in Ubersoldier 1 when my inventory would not show up anything after I reached the factory level and I ran out of ammo. But that seemed to happen to everyone. I never resolved the issue.

I would suggest going to into program files in my computer and deleting all files except savegames. Then reinstall the game into that directory. Of course I'm sure you downloaded the patch? If you have don't delete that either.

First try the patch before trying anything else. Hope some of the bozos on the forum might help you out as well with some suggs.

I can't stand idiots who post to forums and then just dissapear.

This is actually an interesting topic for me as I have a similar problem in Ubersoldier.

In my case the developers are looking into whether it may be that my game is an almost perfect fake copy with an error on the CD (perhaps deliberarly triggered by the programmers when someone tries to copy the game).

So I would have liked to know how the guy sorted things out if he did and what the problem was.
