Max Payne and XP

Does Max Payne work with XP? Is there still the problem with quitting the game?

I have XP RC2 and it works better than winME
so yes it works fine

Ok, I installed MP on XP and it installed great. The problem I had on exiting in 98SE is gone. The exception is that it runs a lot slower and I have to run it on lower specs than on 98. On 98 I used to run on High at 800 x 600 but no I have to run on medium.

Xp doesn't use DirectX 8. It uses one that hasn't come out. We're still at 8a. You have a better machine than I do except for the cpu (No offense) and I run Max Payne on XP.

When running Max Payne under XP I get

I could run the game in the resolution right over 800x600, now I can not run it in 640x480.

I'm running XP professional (version 2600), with al details set to medium/high @ 1024x768. Slows down a little, and the mouse lags, but it still works.

I am having problems running Max payne in XP as well. It won't even start. I get an out of memory error when I try to start. It says I should use lower settings. Currently it is at default on install and it will not run. Under ME I could run with everything at highest. I think it may have something to do with Direct X 8.1
