Any way to change the directory where savegames are stored?

I read the note that says:

****************
Max Payne saved games are stored in your 'My Documents' folder.

This is to ensure compatibility with multi user operating systems such as Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
****************

I am using WIn2K, but nobody else will be playing this game.

So is there a way to change this?

(And by the way, isn't this the reason for creating a Player?)

I really don't think. MP puts the saved games where your computer has My Documents. Change the folder where you have My Documents or enter into the registry and change where MP saves games.

Can you reccommend a webpage or resource that would tell me how to accomplish each of those things? (Obviuouisly you don't mean just to move the "my documents" dir -- it's a windows setting, right?

You can't change that - it's hardcoded to go there.
