Footage of RAGE, actual gameplay impressions of Wolf's multiplayer... and talk of Doom 4. That's probably all you will get.
Honestly, if they show anything from Doom 4, I'll be extremely surprised.
I just want Doom 4 news. :)

The first Quakecon of id Software LLC. I am glad the company didn't stay as ZMI Acquisition Sub LLC for long. That would have sucked.

Yeah, don't expect any Doom 4 media. Besides, seeing some amazing shots of Doom 4 would kind of take the hype away from Rage. I think we are going to have to wait till Quakecon 2010 for some Doom 4 media.:(
However, any talk of Doom 4 will satisfy me greatly. I hope they give more precise details then they have been giving. All they have been really saying is "it's everything that was awesome about Doom, but bigger."
I am excited to see some Rage stuff though since Rage is kind of a preview of Doom 4 in a way since they are both using the same graphics engine. The last Rage trailer blew me away. I expect even more awesome trailers and gameplay footage this time around.
Looking forward to Carmacks keynote. Mmmmmmmm, carmack-talk

It's hot how Carmack says he's put something "on there".

I still think teaser media for DOOM is somewhat likely. I don't think saying that it would steal attention from RAGE is that valid. By that logic you can say that they shouldn't show RAGE because it looks better than Wolf and it will have a negative impact on it. Nothing wrong with showing a little bit of DOOM, RAGE will get a live demo or something, a lot of buzz. It's not like a shot or even a teaser would absolutely overshadow RAGE. It's just a matter of whether they feel like doing it or not.
If not, well, no doubt we'll get a little info tease for sure. It's gonna be great QuakeCon. :)

Half the time I have absolutely no idea what he’s on about, but he’s so passionate and knowledgeable I still find myself listening. :)

Awesome. :D Been waiting and hoping for Doom 2 to come to XBL, as it's MUCH better than the original Doom.
Yay. :D

Hmm.. New levels you say? I have to try this one out. There are couple of reason now to try the Xbox, never got the chance. I certainly hope they release it for the PSN too so everyone can enjoy :).
That's a good point, talking about Doom 4 now may overshadow the other games, they should cover Wolfenstein, RAGE and Doom 4 in that order so the show is not ruined.

I wonder what the new levels are... and if they get released for PC. :o Can another patch for Doom 2 be on the way? Version 2.0 finally? :D :p

Nathan's in and he's next to a power outlet, apparently. This is very exciting. Just waiting for the kick off.
At least you know where you stand when they have the lift music playing.

Well holy hell. Considering how id is, I never expected any Doom 4 media. But, if they do deliver some... I'll be pleased.
Did Carmack say he started Rage back to front or middle to front?

This quakecon wasn't satisfying for me. No DOOM. They not even talked about it. The so called "public" gamplay presentation of RAGE will we also didn't get to see. The same with the Brink presentation. What's with the majority of fans which hadn't the chance to be there??

I'm sure that the footage will be made available later on.
Tournaments were amazing, Quake Live was fun to watch. Great that they had a amateur tournament for those less-skilled - still handed out money.

That's a disappointment only in a short term. It's a much better thing in a long run. As of right now the best they could show would be a screenshot or a 30sec teaser. While cool for some, that would only rise hype for nothing. You wouldn't see gameplay, you wouldn't know any details. People would quickly forget that it's just teasing and demand more, which they wouldn't get and the whole process of showing the game would be started on a wrong foot. It's better to keep it quiet as long as needed and then have a proper, huge unveiling. Good things come to those who wait.
