Another great indie game. Very polished and really good fun. IMO up there with World of Goo and Braid as a really slick, enjoyable indie title. Download the demo and give it a go either from Steam or here (http://www.hemispheregames.com/latest_osmos_demo).

Yeah, Steam has me clocked at 4 hours so far. There's this one level I just can't beat - F3A-3. Love the game though...boot it up and just chilllll...
I find myself being hypnotized by my mote sometimes. Only problem I have with the game is that it only saves Zone completion, not individual level completion.

Most definitely - i'm loving this game currently. Truly hypnotic game, and very easy on the mind. Brilliant for a little relaxation in the evening. :)

Oh, and Thief - I believe it does actually save progress on the levels within Zones actually. If you place the mouse underneath the large, zone icon, you should see 3 very-small level-specific icons, allowing you to start from the last-attempted level if I remember rightly. ;)

Right, I've noticed that you can pick any of the three sub-zones, but each one still says 'go for it!'. Only the zones with all 2 or 3 sub-zones completed actually say 'completed'. It's always been the 3rd sub-zone that I've had trouble with for F3A and F3C...can spend hours on that last damn sub-zone.... :(

Hello Thief,
I joined the Forum to learn if anyone has completed that last sub-zone in F3A.
Am on my third day of unsuccessfully trying to complete it. I tried the Alt + Z (randomize level) command but all that does is randomize a repeat play of the first sub-zone and not the 3rd difficult one.

Have you or anyone else completed this problematic F3A?

Hello, Supersnake. Welcome to the forum!
The last sub-zones of F3A and F3C are the only ones remaining for me. F3A's is ridiculous though...you have to be perfect with your propulsion, absolutely perfect!
It's obviously been done as shown by Steam's Global Achievements section, but the global completion percentage for the Force Zones is way down compared to the amount of people that have completed all Sentient and Ambient zones.

Using Alt-Z to randomize levels works for me, so...? I get a different scenario everytime I use it.

Haven't played it in a few weeks...going to see if I can work some magic.

Hi Thief,
I have good news for you and other fans of Osmos especially those who are writing about the difficulty factor in F3A (Zen Attractors). Hemisphere Games, the developers of Osmos has an Osmos Forum: http://www.hemispheregames.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=8&sid=5271da509f4ffc4737221454901abf33

Look for the following two posts:
Zen Attractors 3
Requesting an Alt + X or Save Game to apply to sub-zones

A compassionate and generous good soul on the Hemisphere Games Osmos Forum has come to our aid and has posted his detailed method how to complete this difficult level. I can't wait to try his method.
Enjoy,
Supersnake

To 3D Realms Administrator: Thank you for allowing me to direct readers of this thread to Hemisphere Games for the answer to this perplexing problem in the Osmos game .
