Voodoo 5 pci locks up

When I go into to play Max Payne the games loads up but then right as it gets to the end of the loading it freezes and all I can hear is sound in the background. The first time I loaded this game up I did the tutorial and that played fine a little bit but then frooze I tried to get back to that but when I did it had problems doing the loading part where it would just freeze.Also I have done 3 full formats.

pentium 4 1.4
128 ram
sound blaster 128
Voodoo 5 pci
Windows Me

plz get a geforce 2 mx or something that is supported, 3dfx cards suck. I foy could buy a P4, you can ezily get a 100 buck vid card
