Background only can be seen - help!

due to my lack of knowledge about games and my computer i need your help please. when i run the game or the tutorial i can only see the actually game part of the screen in some areas otherwise all i see it the background. (according to the start up MP screen) my graphics adapter is 'Diamond Stealth 3 16mb S540 graphics card' othergames i have seen as 'Savage. what can i do to fix it thank you very much.

Uuhmm, did you make sure your system meets at least the minimum requirements of Max Payne? Because I got the same "background only" condition when I tried it on a computer at my office, only to find out that I lacked some of the minimum requirements.

Maybe you can send your system specs and we'll see if you meet the requirements.

if it is a savage i'm afraid that card isn't supported in max payne which basically means its not gonna work. u will need to get a new graphics card,may i recommend the sparkle geforce2 mx400 with 64mb of ddr ram,might sound like gibberish to u but it is a decent budget card.
