Secret Finale

I just finished with the secret finale and wonder if I am missing something. I went in the room with the pictures but nothing happened, other than a note saying well done. Is that it? There is no big send off? There wasn't any closure to the game. Hope someone will clue me in.

Why do gamers expect to see a New Year's celebration when they finish one? The fun comes from gameplay, not the ending cut scene.
