This game is costing me alot of money. I had the demo working fine for my son, so I bought the full version. To meet the specs I put together a Athlon 1.4 with a KCS MB , with internal sound disabled. Then I had SB Live. 256ram 40 gig 7200HD , Asus 6600 geforce 32meg.updated drivers, to 12.41, Anyways I have tried to disable the onboard sound ,uninstall the SB try the new dentonantor drivers , return back to the 12 series drivers, I have run 3dbenchmark and scored 1951, But the game still locks up. I then Bought a new SB Augiy Gamer. Still no luck. Help! before I go broke.

1951? Do you have a VIA chipset? What motherboard do you have? If you have VIA have you installed the 4 in 1 drivers? Have you checked the VIA error fixes?

You also tried switching off direct sound in the dxdiag tool in control panel. Also running the game at a lower res than your desktop settings works in conjunction with the sound fix. I had the same trouble till i did the 2 things here.
