Rockstar Games is known for its ambitious projects, and L.A. Noire proves that the company’s reputation is safe. While the rumblings about the game have been heard for years, our world exclusive cover story is the only place you’ll be able to get concrete information on the gritty crime epic. Over the course of our 10-page feature we look at the game’s astonishing reconstruction of 1947 Los Angeles and learn how the team took on such a massive undertaking. We also talk to the team to see L.A. Noire’s groundbreaking facial-animation system in action, and learn how it might change the way we look at games from now on.
Can't wait for this big boy!
I'm loving Noire games!

Interesting to see what the hell it is after such a... let's say "lively" development

As i read below: "We also grill Platinum Games’ director Hideki Kamiya on Bayonetta, dig into the legal battle over Duke Nukem..."

I only just got the latest game informer last week, and I'm already being teased about the next one?
Geez, I need to have a word with the mail man.

I thought the whole game was going to be black and white...

Maybe that's why it took so long. They decided to use Technicolor.
I jest.

Short preview. (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/106/1067305p1.html)
The facial animation system must be pretty impressive, since in the game, you'll have to pay attention to facial movements during interrogations to determine if suspects are lying or not. I can't wait to see that in action.

I'm sold with the facial animation thing. Kinda reminds of the first Mafia 2 teaser the one with guy talking about vegetarians. Wonder if they are planning a PC port seeing as it's coming to 360.

Could people stop just saying Rockstar like it's a single company? This is Team Bondi and it's their first game.

Ok but it's funded by Rockstar.

Looks great but after GTA4 I'll wait and make sure they haven't ****** the game with bad porting and that windows live crap.

Well, yeah. That's what publishers do... the supply funding to developers for titles.

And Rockstar generally publishes excellent games, so having their name attached generally means quality. Hence, it's worth mentioning to raise expectations.
They haven't failed me yet, and I love film noir, so this is gonna turn into a must-have.

And as for them not failing me, I was referring to their sandbox games.

I still find referring to "their" game weird. It's like saying "I really love Universal Studio's action movies". It's not that it's completely irrelevant it just seems barely relevant and a little disrespectful to the actual teams.

This one is actually a little different since it's by Team Bondi, whereas many other Rockstar games come from Rockstar San Diego or Rockstar Toronto, or Rockstar North, which can be confusing to distinguish between, hence just referring to them as Rockstar is easier.

Just drop the rockstar part of their name :P Hell I still call the GTA team DMA Designs because I'm a stubborn dick... also because I have brand attachment since they were awesome and sent me a poster of the original GTA just because I asked nicely. International gifts for being polite?! YAY!

I just tried to make the phrase more appealing...:P.. I was awared some kind of discussion may happen, and well... I must agree with you that when it comes to publishers, some take more credit than deserved, like 2K with DNF now.... (I know it's a GBX game now, but where's the 3DR logo!?)

Which is a matter of opinion. I loved GTA3, like Vice City... hated San Andreas.
Loved Manhunt... hate Bully, hate The Warriors... and hate Manhunt 2.
GTA4... loved it at first, now... I can't force myself to play it. They are very hit and miss with me. And with the release of GTA4 on PC, I seriously doubt their ability to release a quality/stable PC title.
I'm interested in LA Noire, but because of the game itself. It could be published by EA for all I care.
