Mouse issues

First let me say that I am in no way computer "heavy". My issue is that when I play the game, no matter what settings (high or low) my mouse will start acting funny and then the game locks up my computer so I have to manually shut it off. Here are my specs:

PIII 600MHz
20G with 9G free
128M RAM
32M nVidia GeForce 256 (file ver 4.12.01.0650)
Creative SB Live! Value (file ver 4.11.01.0711)

My system is a boring Gateway but from what I've read should be able to handle the game with no problems. Any suggestions (besides get a new PC)?

P.S. I'm not really sure how to update drivers-like I said I'm not really that good with PCs

You need to update your drivers as you are running a very old version of the detonators. Get the 12.41 Non WHQL drivers from www.nvidia.com (http://www.nvidia.com)

Instalation is simple, just unzip the file and run the setup file!

Thank-you. Your simple solution has cleared up the problems. I was even able to upgrade from low to high on all parameters with no issues as of yet. One last thing, when you get the time could you explain to me how you were able to point me to the Non WHQL thing? I don't have a clue what any of that means except that it worked.
