Show fps won't work

I have just installed mp on my new p4 1.7 with windows xp but although the game and other console cammands work show fps does not, it works fine on my other pc amd 1ghz with windows98.Any help would be appreciated as I would like to see what fps my new pc is cabable of(ps tried using fraps but it kept crashing my system)

Yeah me too..WTF? Smooth as silk play, But I'm geeky enuf to want to know with 1gig AMD, 98se, GF3.

Do you try this command on system with Windows 2000?

To get the fps showing, add "-developerkeys" without the quotes to the Max Payne shortcut and press "F11".

And while you're at it, add -developer as well:
This allows you to toggle the console with PF12.

In console mode, type either showfps or showextendedfps. The extended function gives an average, min, max, etc.

Note that you have to hit PF12 TWICE....

Thank you for the help added developer keys and bingo fps and not too bad,30 fps when everything gets busy

IT doesn't work probalby it work only with Nvidia card and not with Radeon based card, drivers issues? I don't know
