Because it has nothing to do with DNF. This is a Duke Nukem game, and as such... all Duke Nukem topics not directly related to DNF go in the Duke Nukem forum.
So, DN3D, DN: Manhattan Project, the playstation games... the N64 port... anything Duke that is not DNF... goes here. And only here. It's confusing... I know, but just... try.

It wasn't. It was started in the DNF forum by mistake, and then it was moved to the general Duke Nukem forum.

The team that did Duke 3D would probably be too small for a game like this, and the team who did Duke 3D was part of the DNF team. I believe the game was ported by a MS team.

Well, I'm gald this seems to be coming out (you watch it go the same way as DNT :o ) anyway, i doubt it's easy to screw up a port of this, it already renders to Direct3D and the controls were a simple Left/Right Jump/Shoot and Action affair, so it'd be hard to mess them up as well.
I'm sticking to my guns that radar had something to do with it, but as they aren't developers I don't know what that might be (I'm only saying this to stop myself looking dumb, but you'd probably forgotten what I said so it may have the opposite effect).

I'm not sure how much demand there is in the PS3 market for old PC games. It seems a lot of developers, such as Croteam with SSHD don't think it is worth their time or efforts as there is no money to be made on the system.

what's funny is that on the web page in the marketplace, it lists the developer to be 3D realms, it must have been an outside XBLA team because 3DR has no developers.
On another note I bet the freaks out there are already saying hey guyyyysss!!! that means they can get $$ from this game to fund DNF!!!! wowwwweeeee.... lol

Manhattan Project probably may play better on a console, anyways. It was a little tedious on the PC without a gamepad. I mean, I was able to get by keyboard and mouse with most tasks, but...for a sidescroller game, gamepads are probably best for those types of games, those or racing/driving games.

Neither do I... but only because I already have it for PC, I can already play it with the Xbox 360 joypad, and I can also play it in stereoscopic 3D, which would be impossible with an Xbox 360 port.

I like to play this on PC with my 360 controller but there's no support to use the triggers to shoot with. So it'll be nice to finally be able to use them.
By the way, would there happen to be any new features exclusive to this version (similar to the gameplay rewind feature in Duke 3D) or is it more or less a straight port?

I'm really proud of the controls on the 360. They work extremely well and there are 2 layouts for people. This game should have always been on a console but it just didn't happen in 2002. We pushed pretty hard for it to be on PS2.
It plays really, really well on 360. Love it.

Pity it's not on PS3 though. I always prefer 3rd person action platformers on the Playstation because of it's superior d-pad (the d-pad on the 360 is a piece of crap, face it) but it's still nice, nonetheless. I understand it's a little bit tougher to port things from PC to the Playstation
