MP keeps on freezing

MP keeps on freezing after 1 or 2 min. Here is the configuration from my computer.
Epox 8k7a+
Gforce2 MX400 ( MSI-starforce 826 )
256 Mb DDRAM
AMD 1,2 Ghz
Acer 50x CD-rom
Plexwriter 12/10/32A
Seagate 20Gb ATA 100 7200 t/m
Scanner (Acer )
Operating system : windows ME

I have installed all the most recent drivers i could find on the net.
Motherboard driver : 4in1435v en win ME miniport driver version 4.80
Video driver : XP 21.83

Here follows what i tried so far :
Lowered acceleration level sound
Lowered the resolution
Tried turning off active desktop
Tried different IRQ settings
Disabled anti aliasing in the settings computer and settings in the game
Tried running DXdiag, no problems there
Computer is not overclocked
I've changed texture color depth
Lowered all settings in the game
Task switching enabled
Changed screen buffers
Installed all the patches

I don't know what to do anymore.
I hope someone in here has the solution to the problem.

Try going back to some older video drivers if you haven't tried that yet. The new ones give a lot of troubles, I think that might be fixed in a new patch, but until then I say, try the 14.10, they work fine for me.

Seems to work with the downgrade for the videodriver.
I have played now for almost 45 min. without crashing. I think the poblem is solved.

how do you down grade the video driver?
