I was browsing through the latest demoscenes and found this amazing one (http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=52938). It's only 4k, yet is has vast 3D landscapes and an amazing score. Check it out and keep in mind that it's only 4 KILOBYTES in size.

I cant get it to run. Double clicking doesn't do anything, and its not showing up at all in task manager. :(

Very nice! Reminded me of some of the terrain in Mass Effect. Incredible for 4kb.

That is the most awesome demo I have ever seen. Hands down.

It's not a demoscene, it's just a demo. The scene is the community as a whole.

Keep in mind that Windows prods these days use Direct3D or OpenGL and don't directly access the hardware. That's a _lot_ of code they can leverage instead of writing themselves and carefully optimize for size; if you statically link a prod like that against the graphics driver, you'd end up with megabytes of code and not just 4k.
