Annoying problem

Hy want to thanx 3drealms for letting me become a member images/icons/smile.gif . Well i just installed MP and almost conqured it but through the whole game after about 5-10 mins it like lags i know its not my hardware because i have up to date heres what i have =
Dell 8100 series
Geforce2 mx/400
Creative Sounds Live!
40 gig
PENTIUM 4
128 RAM
1.4ghz

Ive tried all the options and still dosent work on the MP options, and the patch dosent work either this is very annoying need help it laggs then keeps lagging then i have to exit out of MP then go back to it and keep exting and rentering.

Max payne uses a lot of memory, and you don't have a lot. Check to see if the game slows down due to diskaccessing, see if the hd light keeps going. If that's the case you might consider upgrading to some more memory.

Also what resolution are you playing, since the MX is not very fast at high resolutions.

You can also defragment your HD, this might speed things up a bit (if it is fragmented)
