Still waiting on a Dark Crystal sequel.
As for modern movies, I'd love a sequel to From Paris With Love. Won't happen, though.
Games?
It seems like they already made all the sequels I wanted for games. And they all disappointed. If I have to pick something...
Trespasser 2.

Douke Noukem: Fourevar

DNF is dead to me.
The only game I'm really excited for at the moment is HL2:Episode 3. Other games are cool, yea, but Ep3 is something I'll stay up to midnight to unlock it the second it becomes available.
HL2: Ep3

Freespace 3

Think that's about it for now.

1. Doom 4
2. Batman Arkham City
3. Half Life 2: EP3
Coming games:
Diablo 3
I agree with all criticism of the graphic style but I can live with it. So far I disslike some things like the absence of potions. I'm looking forward to it but like most sequels it's 50/50 dissapointment.
Mechwarrior
I havn't played the series but I'm gonna give this new game a try. It looks interresting.
Serious Sam 3
Little is known about this game and the 2nd game sure made me hate the developers but they said this new game is going to be more similar to the first so I am positive to it.
Doom 4
I don't think I will like it judging from Doom 3. I want it mostly because of curiosity.
Wishes:
Heroes omm 6
Needs a sequel to get back to it's former glory. H4 looked ugly both design wise and technically, had much less units bad choice of units and lack of balance. H5 was a rise from H4 but ****tard choice of cartoon design, lack of artifacts, super slow AI, crapy user interface, crap music made it still is far from H3 which only real problem was certain spells being too powerful. Design wise evertything in H3 was great. The homm series needs a sequel to get back to it's former glory.
Disciples 4
D2 was great but lacked content and was ill suited for MP compared to the HOMM series. D3 turned it into some semi-rpg, changed to much of the great unit design from D2 into crap. People were speculating of a 6th faction but instead they cut it down to 3. wtf? I heard it's a solid game but not a solid sequel, just like Supreme Commander 2.
Painkiller 2
Great game but amazingly no sequel has been made. Only a number of home made crap spinnoffs has come. Give me a sequel damn it.
List without a single comment are rather boring guys.

OMG they're almost out!
Mafia 2
Dead rising 2
Probably never
LBA 3

Actually pretty much any Lucasart's adventure game sequel
Dungeon Keeper 3

How about the sequels that you want, but are not under production? Most of these sequels mentioned are coming.
A new RPG from Vampire: The Masquerade universe, a game in trend of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Would be great and the setting has potential as shown in Bloodlines. Obsidian with enough time and resources - they know what to do.
Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tentacle. Maybe done in similar fashion as Sam & Max episodes. Either Telltale Games or Double Fine developing it - maybe even both?!
Carmageddon sequel, that would be something. I'm sure it would be even harder to get such game published now. Large environments and cars crashing to each other - amazing.
Theme Hospital sequel, why not? Would be a niche game, but I'm sure it would sell well on digital distribution for less than a full price, think Torchlight. Would appeal to a large audience if done well. The humor needs to be there to succeed though!
The games I wished would get sequels, and are getting ones next.
Deus Ex with Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Sounds and looks promising, but still bit reserved how it will turnout.
MechWarrior game (http://www.piranha-games.com/MechWarrior.html), f*ck yeah. Looks awesome and awesome. This with cooperative missions, online play, persistent online world, great campaign + customization equals instant win for the universe.
Doom 4, just for the kicks of it. If it manages to capture the essence of Doom, and move forward bit like Doom II it'll be great. Remains to be seen, but it's far ahead.
Fallout 4. It's coming - well not yet published it will be, but considering the success Fallout 3 had, it's pretty certain. Just maybe on id Tech 5 rather than GameBryo? Maybe? Lessons learned from Fallout 3 and making it even (bigger) & better.
Half-Life 2: Episode 3. When ever it comes out, it's taken quite some time :) Still, it's one of those games you want to play.
Diablo 3. Looks great even on so early stages, early? For Blizzard yes. I hope we get to play this sometime "soon". Not going to commit to it in similar scale as to Diablo II, too many hours with buddies on LAN and online. Will give it a whirl though. Not huge on my list though.
Lastly the Syndicate -game coming from EA. A must have, Syndicate was awesome, Syndicate Wars was fun in 3D. I hope they can keep the charm and visual integrity.
--
That's my list, sure missed some, but in general those are the games.
Games that will be released at some point
Half Life 2: Episode 3
Doom 4
Batman Arkham City
Killing Floor 2
The DNF Club
Shenmue III - I need to beat Lan Di Sega!!
Psychonauts 2 - The first was perfectly setup for a sequel but nobody bought the bloody thing. :(
A survival horror based Resident Evil reboot that doesn't have all the karate kicking garbage that completely ruined the series.

HL2:EP3/HL3, Doom 4, Prey 2, Rune 2, A Quake 1 sequel, a Quake 2/4 sequel, a new Back To The Future movie, A new Star Trek movie, MIB3.

That would be cool but unlikely since White Wolf retired The Masquerade.
Most wanted:
A real X-Com 1/2 remake/sequel.

I forgot a big one.....SimCity 5.
EA, come on. I know the game wouldn't be a mass hit like The Sims is, but with all the resources they have, they can easily assign a small team (40/50 guys) to work a couple of years on a proper sequel. Make it the way The Sims is done, a rather simple interface that's easy to grasp but has a lot of detail and stuff in between, so it looks small but it's rather big (The Sims 3 is the finest example of this) with relatively small amount of content....and then the expansions begin.
SimCity 4 Rush Hour was a good sample of how great the concept of expansions could be for SimCity. I just want a new game, dammit! And not half-baked "sequels" or spin-offs like SC Societies (Ewww).
The series had too much to offer and evolve when they suddenly decided to kill it.
-------------
Age of Empires IV - I LOVED the second one, and I'd like to see a remake of this with modern graphics and modern gameplay ideas. This saga can't die just yet. AoE III wasn't that good, but it wasn't that bad either. They just need to come back to its roots. MS can do it, they have all the resources they need to assign a proper team for it.

Metroid: Other M -I hope this one doesn't dissappoint. Everything seems nice right now, but I feel a little concerned about some things.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution -I don't feel concerned about this one at all, even if you tell me that I should, I don't know why. It just feels right.
Batman: Arkham City.
Donkey Kong Country Returns
L.A. Noire.
Max Payne 3 -I guess all I can do now is wait and see how R* Vancouver handle this one.
Alan Wake 2 -It deserves a sequel. Too early to call for it.
Prey 2 -I liked the first one, it wasn't that great but it had potential. I hope that, if P2 is ever made, they pitch every possible idea from the whole Prey concept.
A Super Mario World sequel -I still want this. If they ever get to make another New Super Mario Bros sequel, they better mix it with some SMW design. Certainly NSMB Wii tried this, but the overworld map lacked and so did the secrets :p.
Yoshi's Island 2 -The Snes version was amazing and the DS sequel was good, but not great. I'd like to see a sequel to this.
Jazz Jackrabbit 3 -I bloody want another Jazz game. Played both games and they're great side scrolling action. I hope they get a working theme for this one and develop it.
Another side scrolling Metroid game -side scrolling can still show off and I hope it never dies. There's a rumored SS Metroid game under development, I have no idea.
Batman Theft Auto -not sure if Batman Arkham City will sort of follow a sandbox design for the sake of it, but I still dream of an open-ended Batman game.
Maybe another GTA..

What'd be the point of making it sandbox? How could you keep a Batman game interesting outside of catching baddies?

You mean like Team Fortress 3? Probably will be made using the new Source engine would be my guess.

Prey 2
Tron: Evolution
Mortal Kombat (the reboot)
A new episode of GTA set in Vice City
Rage
Doom 4
Elite 4
Heroes omm 6
Yesterday I found out that it's actually in works with screenshots. It seems they left the ****tard cartoon design and went back to normal, but somehow it feels too colorful, not satisfied. For some reason I don't have high hopes for it.

Kingpin
Undying
A game that sold poor but well made. I like this old unreal engline 1 game alot. :) Propably the scariest game played, or on par with AvP1. Nice variation in maps, weapons (slice of limbs with enchanted schyte ) and good story. My only complain atm is the usefulness of certain weapons and spells. I red a sequel was planned but never started because of poor sells. :(

Tie Fighter
A space combat game without trading and other stuff.
Homeworld
Homeworld: Cataclysm is still one of my favorite RTS's, would like a new one.
Doom 4
Although I hope it feels more like the leaked D3 alpha, than the actual game.

It saddens me to play that AND the HL2 alpha leak.
Both were much more badass than the games turned out to be.

I'd like a Mass Forces/Jedi Effect game; a Dark Forces/Jedi Knight FPS with RPG and adventure elements, developed by Bioware with the same visual quality (http://uk.media.pc.ign.com/media/142/14235019/imgs_1.html) as the Mass Effect games.
Of course, this will never happen, but a guy can dream.

There are several sequels I'd love to see on the one hand, but on the other I think it's best they never happen. Fantastic games like Rune or Undying didn't really sell all that well, so they only way sequels will happen is if they're turned into something too different from the original to interest me. Then there are successful games like Unreal, where the developers get too full of themselves and, once again, churn out a follow-up that's too different from the original to interest me.
These days it's all quantity and so very little about quality with sequels. Best to just enjoy the magic that was, I suppose.

You know, riddles in Arkham Asylum were a good collectible idea. They aren't a big enough idea to 'supply' the whole Gotham City concept thought . Duude! All I want is to hang out as the bat... Need to dig a better reason for a game like this to be created.

Klingon Honor Guard 2 would be awesome. A new FPS game as a Klingon Warrior. With both Batleth melee and Disruptor/phaser type weapons. A regular FPS campaign like the original, not like some kind of fight game.

Scratch off Flight Simulator 11, because MS is currently working on this new game called Microsoft Flight. Could be FS11 or something completely different, but based on how it looks, it seems to be a tweaked version of FSX which would be something which doesn't require as much CPU power.

They've updated the World of Darkness setting though. Masquerade may be dead, but it's been replaced by Requiem. I'd love to see another game in the same vein as Bloodlines; that game was amazing, yet so rough around the edges. It's a shame Troika went under.

Thief IV
Redneck Rampage II
Diablo III
Read dead Redemption PC please !
Vietcong 3
Blood III - hopefully not set into the future, present times at most
Carmageddon IV - assuming similar quality and atmosphere to especially the first game, in HD
Doom IV - some may not agree, but I would appreciate the speed of the first two games
Death Rally II - if in 3D, I would love to try mouse-aiming the vehicle machine guns, heh
NFS Hot Pursuit III - either with single circuits or a large sandbox world, multiplayer with several people
Redneck Rampage II - large, spacious levels with more vehicle usage could be interesting
Thief IV - assuming similar quality and atmosphere to those made by Looking Glass Studios
The first-person shooters preferably with Quake III / Quake Live styled smooth movement, except maybe for the ability increase speed by constant hopping couple with the strafe keys. Compare to Blood II, for example, which I think was too sharp, not to mention the excessive air control.
Also, a game similar to NFS Porsche, maybe about Ferrari this time (for example). The only thing I would change is that you should have to spend a little more time with each model, instead of just driving 3-5 races, and then having enough cash from the winnings to immediately buy the next model with all upgrades, like how it pretty much was in NFS Porsche.
