I have the same problem. The demo worked fine ten days ago with a non DirectX 8 card (Asus v6600).
Now that I have an Asus V7700 geforce 2 Ti neither the demo or the full game gets beyond the loading screen. Remedy ought to be ashamed of themselves to release an obviously unfinished product. I emailed Talonsoft and they just repeated the same useless solution-suggestion crap I stated in the email that I already tried.
I will wait until the Playstation2 version hits the Swedish stores & buy both the PS2 aswell as the game! Lots of Swedes volunteered on behalf of Finland against the Soviet during worldwar 2 and now they sell us this crap! All other software runs perfectly well on my system, even though my Athlon 1000 is overclocked to 1400.

Please try the game with your CPU's original MHz and see if that helps...
