Anyone else looking forward to this? I played the hell out of the first one, after being attracted by the amazing concept art. The sequel looks like it's going to be a huge amount of fun.

If you completely hate MMO's you *need* to check this game out. I finished all 3 campaigns of the first game despite hating the genre, and it seems lke the sequel will be soloable/small group compatible too. Plus gorgeous environments, unique classes and races, and innovative MMO gameplay. Discuss!

If it continues the no monthly fee thing, then I'm sure I'll pick it up. I tend to loathe mmorpgs, but there is some very interesting environment design in this game. I like that they talk against grinding in that video.

It is indeed free to play (of course you have to make a regular purchase of the game first).

And I'm the same. Never was into MMO games, but Guild Wars apprached it very diferently, I loved it.

Everything about it. The story, voice acting, etc was all terrible compared to Prophecies.

Not to mention, if you bring over a Prophecies character it was rather boring for a while, and if you made a new character, you were level 20 in two seconds.

The story and pacing in Prophecies was fun, but Factions was just for the PvP crowd, really. And after that, I had no interest in pursuing Nightfall. I thought about getting Eye of the North, but I could not get back into Guild Wars.

Ah, I see.

Personally I loved the environments and the new classes, but the difficulty made me hate it. It's the only I didn't enjoy. Any game that makes you work to have fun is not for me.

I'll surely look into this one.

I started with Nightfall and loved it so I picked up the other 2. Prophecies was good fun, but Factions was meh in comparison. I also have Eye of the North but havent played too much in that area.
