AMD/ATI Drivers now available from Steam

Catalyst 10.9 drivers are available from the AMD site or can be downloaded from Steam. You can find more info here (http://blogs.amd.com/play/2010/09/14/video-driver-updates-made-easy-amd-and-valve-team-up-to-provide-ati-catalyst-updates-on-steam/).

I just tried it out and it seemed to work fine. You need to update your Steam client then click on Update AMD Video Drivers. It was interesting that after the drivers were downloaded an install now window appeared without requesting that the old drivers be uninstalled.

That's a unique idea, I may have to try that vs. going to AMD Game's website. That may be worth trying...thanks for that advice. Just wish I knew that was going to be released today. Yep, that was in my drop-down menu list under the Steam menu...thanks for that. Whew.

I just found this too. Seems like a very good solution ... I suppose the old version is automatically uninstalled or overwritten...?
