I know that a lot of you have the same problem, but I still can't take it anymore!MP is excellent game,as much as I could see during playing (which never lasted longer than 5 min) but I just can't play it!!! images/icons/mad.gif images/icons/mad.gif
I have a Celeron 800mhz,Asus TUSL2-C mainboard,256MB RAM,GeForce2 MX400 and a SB Live 5.1.
Everything runs superb with maximum details on 1024x768 resolution, but
every time, after 3-5 minutes the game freezes with red-green-white stripes on the screen and repeating sound. The only way to exit the game then is to manually reset the computer.I have tried with new detonator
drivers, but the problem remains.I've also downloaded older detonators
(ver.12.41) but then I don't know how to return to old version after installation of new drivers...MP is the only game I'm having problem with, and I could just forget it,but, like I said,I really like it...
So,as I can see, this isn't a new kind of problem, but you guys don't seem to do anything about it! images/icons/mad.gif Do you have ANY kind of idea that could solve this problem??!?!?

I have this same problem without the strapes. I tried nearly everything now, flashed my bios, updated drivers, downdated em. Only "cure" for this that I found was to switch the sounds off. On my case, its a problem between my mobo KT7A, and my soundcard Live! 1024 Value. If someone knows a solution, please tell me..

Sick, I was going to suggest that you yank your SB Live sound card and try some other real cheap soundcard just to troubleshoot. It's kind of become a standard response these days that if you'd tried everything without success, yank your SBLive. Get some dirt cheap sound card that isn't a SB somewhere (ebay, pricewatch.com) and see if that takes care of the problem. If it does, auction off your SBLive and get a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz (just an idea).

You should be able to uninstall your nvidia drivers from Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. I used to switch nvidia drivers all the time with no probs whatsoever.
