View Full Version : Is there a WinROTT SVN Repository?

I was just wondering if there was a publicly accessible SVN repository for WinROTT in the style of DRD Team's Doom SVN site? I've had a look around and found nothing so I presume the answer's no. However, I thought I'd ask as it took a fair wee while for me to come across this slightly 'hidden' forum, so you never know... :)

Myself and birger don't change the source code often enough to require
a svn setup on the web site, we don't work on winrottgl on a regular
basis, there will be a flurry of activity for say a month, and then well back
off from development work for awhile, the chances of a svn site for
winrott/winrottgl being setup is slim at best.

Ah well, at least I'm not missing something. :)
So, do you just wait for inspiration to strike or is it just a case of real life getting in the way? Sorry if that's a personal question - I'm just curious on the methods of development and evolution of WinROTT. :)

We usually wait until there's enough bugs being reported or if either of us has a
idea like a feature being added or changed.

Thanks for sharing. I wasn't sure if my nosiness would offend as Birger seems to be quite reclusive! :)
Can I ask if there's any work being done with regards to the potential of voxel support. I know you said before it was a little more complicated than at first thought? Please ignore this if you'd rather not say! It's my nose getting in the way again!

This is from a earlier post regarding voxel support:

Re: ROTT voxel pack
I just received this reply from birger:
---------------------------------------
I am not sure if the engine is suited for voxels, since I know almost nothing about voxels.
So I will have to examine the problem somewhat closer before giving my opinion.
----------------------------------------
I was afraid of this, I know virtually nothing about voxel programming, and birgers' situation isn't any better, it might still be possible to get winrottgl
to support voxels, but I can't give a time frame as to when this would
happen, considering everything, someone who is already familiar with
voxel programming would probably be a better choice for this feature then
either myself or birger.
