I thought this was a trilogy and that the rest of it would come in the form of that MMO that they made (Matrix Online). However, it seems they might actually do a few more movies.

The death of Morpheus, the progressive corruption of the code due to too many people with special abilities, the final return of Smith as a messenger telling everyone of the imminent crash of the Matrix, the revelation that another mainframe in orbit exists...

That was only an overly dramatic reaction... I liked the Matrix movies... well enough to buy the blu-ray collectors edition.

It could turn out that there is another level to the Matrix... Zion is apart of the illusion. Crazy, yes but it will certianly answer the question of how Neo got his powers outside the matrix.

It could turn out that there is another level to the Matrix... Zion is apart of the illusion. Crazy, yes but it will certianly answer the question of how Neo got his powers outside the matrix.
I hope not, because:
1) it would invalidate what makes The Matrix different from Welt am Draht, The Thirteenth Floor and Existenz and ultimately make the viewers feel cheated every time (who guarantees this "reality" is not another layer of the Matrix?)
2) it can be easily explained by showing that Neo is part machine (so when his human senses stopped working, his machine senses took over)
3) the existence of a second mainframe, with people connected to it experiencing a different perception altogether, would expand our view of the Matrix universe (as opposed to showing "more of the same" with more scenes set in Mega City or Zion).

I watched it because it's about my favorite theme in movies (which is why my nickname is "Altered Reality"). I assure you that watching it without knowing a word of German is... hypnotic. :p

I ensure you, that has nothing to do with the language really :P .
It is actually eerie how well some of the characters collide with our concept of "npc like behavior" concidering the time it was filmed in.

I'd rather see more offshoots... if they can make an entire film seem good. I enjoyed Animatrix almost as much, and depending on my mood, more than the Matrix sequels.
