Hello,

I'm having problem installing the game. When I click the install button, the LED on my cd-rom lights up(without flashing) as if the cd is damaged but it is not. I tried installing it in my friend's pc and it worked fine.Is it because my computer doesn't meet the min requirements? (Actually I have a slower processor then the min 450.) But does that really effect the istallation? Or do I just have a dirty cd-rom?
By the way, I'm running windows 98.

Oh forgot to state that I can't even copy the files from the CD to my hard disc to attempt to install the game from there.

I've been told that MP won't work well on cd-rom's that are 40X and faster.

Also the 1.02 patch is supposed to fix a problem with some cd-rom's that have trouble running MP.

Although I'm sure that the game must be installed before the patch.

Hope you get this resolved.

My cd-rom is only 32x. Any how am I supposed to use the patch when my pc can't even read the cd, let alone install it.

Also, you can hope forever. I'm almost about to give up. Nothings works for me. It's a shame not being able to play one of the best games ever, but it's even worst to be called 'one of the best games ever' and let people waste money on it.

I'm fairly sure the copy protection (safedisc) prevents many CD-Rom-type drives from installing MP. Neither my Aopen 52X CD-ROM drive nor my fairly new Lite-On CD-RW will play the game. So far, I've seen the Lite-On 16X DVD-ROM drive have no trouble with ANY game yet (building PCs for other people). But to have to shell ~$55 just to play the game REALLY sucks. If your drive can't read the MP CD your basically hosed - you might see if the mfr. has a firmware upgrade for your CD drive but that's a long shot!!!
