DirectX 8.0 compatible card fix

I have a g3 ti200, and had MP 1.02 installed, I had DX 8, and got this error, then i installed 8.1 got the same error, i had the latest det drivers, and the drivers from visiontek for my card. I was about to give up, and i tried the NVIDIA drivers for my g3 card, i installed those,and it fixed the problemi now can run it fine.

Hi I have the same card running in win98. MaxPain hangs everytime I get to a scene where he gets an exclamation point over his head and starts talking.

Can you let me know if yours does this too? Or did the Nvidia drivers fix the problem.
