MP Crashes every 3 minutes

my specs:
-500mhx AMD Athlon
-192mb Ram
-3D Prophet 4000XT 64mb
-Win 98
-ESS sound card
-latest drivers for everything
-everything set on low (tried some other option)
Just crashes to desktop
I tried everything on Tech and all the other suggestions anyone have any ideas what my problem is?

My MP used to crash during the menu screens (main, options, save/load, etc.) but not during the game. It just freezed randomly and I couldn't figure out why. Tried all possible settings, turned off sound, turned off sound hardware acceleration... Finally, installing new drivers from Nvidia for my Vegas Technology Nvidia Geforce2 MX400 64MB card seemed to help (no crash since then). But I guess you have done that?

Yes. Well I meet the minumum req. And my card is supported and none of my other games crash like this.
