Ok i haven't posted here in AGES (but somehow they blocked my old username)but i have a question on the announced Max Payne 2. Im very curious as to what this game will be like. First off will it sport the same graphics as the first (i hope not). The reason why i hope not is because theres much more technology then back when it was being creared (97-01) and i would think that the graphics should be much inproved, and when the game eventually comes out (probably 03) then there will already be 3ghz systems with new ATI and NVIDIA cards, so i see no reason why you couldn't enchance the graphics. Don't get me wrong Max Payne is still the best graphical game to date (but when doom 3 comes...) but i just think that you should up the graphics. Secondly will it follow a whole new plot, will we see new charcaters or the same man on the run gimick. I remember Max going to jail at the end, is he gonna bust out and find who framed him or is he gonna cleared of charges and now hes working on the cops side to catch for framed him (that would destroy his "man with nothing to lose" gimick now wouldn't it?) or what. I could go on and on with stories after the first but ill stop there. Also what do you think the minimum requirements will be i would think it would be something like a 700mhz processor with a good 64meg card at least, or will it be lower? Or if it uses the same engine as the first will it be the same 450mhz 16meg card? Also i really think you did a poor job on the requirements to play the game, guess yo u should of said to play the game period . Because at the time when i got the game (way back in July) i had an Intel Celeron 466mhz 192mb of ram and a TNT2 and the game ran so choppy even at 640x480, i won't even say what happened when the action heated up or when i was outside. I really think you led people on about the "minimum" requirements. You said 450mhz or higher and a 16meg card so someone might of though o i could use my old Pent 2 500 with a 16meg Voodoo Banshee and it would work well at 640x480, lmfao not. Please give me some answers, thanks

They say they are basing the Tech on the old engine... Personally I think they are rushing the sequel.
Oh and let the "Enter" key be your friend.

Personally I think neither of you should worry.
As said in earlier threads, more details on the game will be revealed later, when it's time.

B.B. got killed in the parking garage, if you were successful images/icons/wink.gif Ive got a few ideas and I dont care if they are ripped off...how about an inside conspiracy leading back to the police, the whole force. Valkyr all over them. During his trial, the guy from the Inner Circle pulls a few strings and Max spends some time in jail, in the meantime thinking of a way to get back at the bastards who started the whole conspiracy: the Police Commissioner. Add in a few ho's, prostitutes, a couple of mob guys, some junkies, druggies and theres your Max Payne 2 right there...the end--He marries Mona(she never dies just wounded on the elevator at Aeris(sp?)) graemlins/doh.gif I gave away too much.

No, he's talking about the- dah, probably shouldn't say. Oh hell I will. Aeris didn't die in FF7, he teleported into Max Payne's world and is rich as soon as he gets there so he creates a place named after him (Aeris) and Mona finds him dead sexy but Max wants her now so he goes to kill Aeris and Mona is there. Then she dies. Who says Max Payne has linear story?
