Ok I just bought a new computer and installed max payne on it and now the sound in the game doesn't work. The intro sound plays but nothing after that. Not even the menus. I had a P4 1.6 with 192 ram, voodoo3 2000 pci, win 98, and some Avance or SIS sound burnt onto my motherboard. I've updated the game and still nothing. Plz help me!
I've ran DxDiag and this is what I get:
Error - Problem getting extra sound info, result code = 0x8878000a (The request failed because Direct sound resources, such as the priority level, were already in use by another caller.)
And this is as soon as I boot up my computer and all other sound works... nothing gives that in use by another device thing. Only Max Payne doens't work. And i've checked all the sound options for the game and they're on and at full blast... PLZ HELP!!!
