Max Payne freezes when I exit

straight up crashes the comptar whenever I exit the game:(

I don't like rebooting right after I finish playing Max Payne.

Download the 1.05 patch from the Downloads section on this site.Hopefully after patching the game the bug should disappear.

i did images/icons/frown.gif it still locks up

omar all you have to do is go to control panel
in windows click sounds and multimedia,when it opens click audio and change your sound card from ac97 or what ever it is to game compatible,you should have no more probs....try it and let me no.

If its just locking up when you exit do this: go to run type in dxdiag then go to sound and turn your hardware accelerator to 0. That took care of mine and I just turn it back on when I play other games. Hope that helps.
