I think it is, and tons and tons of people think it is.

However, download the demo for yourself and find out. Click on the downloads button on this page, and look for the Max Payne section.

There's not much replay value unless you learn to use MaxED after you've beat it a couple of times. But you do need to get it.

You really should d/l the demo first, wallmark, and sample the gameplay, and just as important, find out if your system can handle it (MP is now considered one of the benchmarks for gaming rigs, and even for graphics cards for general PC use involving various software).

You might find yourself plowing through the game from start to finish in a matter of days. After that, you can d/l some mods and tinker with the editor.

i am about to buy max payne and i want to know is it worth it that i could play over and over again.
also can the game be a challenge or is it on the easy side.is the editor easy to use.
will i have a fun time for many hours

Once youve completed the game you should try the harder levels. They hone your skills and it means that when you play the easy level again when your little brother wipes all your saved-games, the guys just drop at your knees.
