Ok, so I know what the roscoe station is, but are there real pictures somewhere?

Also, what real life buildings did you use for the rest of the game? is there a club somewhere in nyc that houses creepy people who like to fight in churches? images/icons/smile.gif

Does remedy still have all those pictures? it'd be really cool to see 'em

yeah, that was all but 5 pictures or so.. Surely the game wasn't made with just those pictures.. images/icons/smile.gif

The only thing those pictures tell one is Remedy modeled the parking garage very wrong.

A tower on one of the corners of the garage was really on top of the entrance to the lower levels.

images/icons/grin.gif Not that I would notice that. I was too busy working Bullet Time.

hmmmn... the parking garage seems like a normal plain parking lot.. not the confusing one I park in Downtown Indianapolis for a buck..

I get lost there everytime and that's not a lie, nor an exaggeration

Just a short comment.

No, there isn't a real Roscoe station anywhere, so there isn't any real pictures of it anywhere either - what we did do was take pictures in several different subway stations and combined them into one (more or less). Also stuff in the Garage level may be 'wrong' just because the levels aren't real life places - i.e. they're not modelled using real environments, only some details are based on real stuff. And if you ask me, what would be the point of making real environments 1:1 into a game? I, atleast, don't see one, just because the game environments need to be made on the game plays terms and not on that of the functionality.

Check this out. Doesn't have any acutal game shots in it, but this thread seems like a good place to bring this up again.

sweet! I love hearing about these "behind the features" tidbits like marvel said.. images/icons/smile.gif

I forgot about that news story Joe, It's much more interesting to reread now that the game is done..

Actually Marvel, the garage in max payne is a lot like the older garages, like in Chicago and New York.. So, you're probably right on target as far as the design aspect...

The one in Indy is just freakishly layed out..
