Boy, once I set my mind to something...

Well, you guys said something about a full Max Payne theme, and so I took that to heart and I'm working on one. It's not finished yet, but I wanted to show you the very first draft of it.

It's got some bugs which I need to work out, but I've got a few things done. Like the start menu looks okay so far, and I used a really coooooool graphic novel font and...blah blah blah... images/icons/tongue.gif

Ok, so don't make fun of me, this is the very first time I've ever made something this extensive.

I used to hate XP, but now I can barely do without it.... mostly because it affords me opportunities such as this. images/icons/smile.gif

Nice looking, would be nice with some soft red or so in at some places, grey is so tiring. And black is so dull on it's own:)

I had to choose a Max Payne background for the screenshot rather quickly (my previous bg was of Darth Vader's helmet), so I chose Michael Krahulik's Max Payne artwork.

Ok, well it'll be done and submitted to ThemeXP tonight hopefully. I can't get anyone to answer the one question I need answered about the quick launch, so I'll say this... don't use the quick launch. It looks ugly.

That said, I'll release this as a beta and keep working to perfect it on my own.

I have the style now installed... Good Job, Baskinator!
The installation process itself was a bit of pain, but that was mainly due to XP (and my own stupidity).

You have to do one of two options:

a) Patch your computer (for free) with the UXTheme patch - www.tgtsoft.com (http://www.tgtsoft.com)

b) Use a trial version of StyleXP, a program that makes switching themes "easier". It can also be downloaded from www.tgtsoft.com (http://www.tgtsoft.com)

I'd go with option A, as the patch works very well for me. If the directions on how to patch it are too cryptic for you (some have trouble), just e-mail me, and I'll help you out with it. images/icons/smile.gif
