Dialogues can not be heard during gameplay

I cant hear the dialogues spoken by the characters both during the gameplay as well as during the graphic novel.But the music runs fine and I can hear the other sounds such as shooting.What can be the problem? images/icons/frown.gif

Check the Volume control on your Windows taskbar. See if the 'Wave Balance' slider needs to be moved up.
