Well, after five very frustrating attempts (accompanied by five reformats), I've successfully installed Red Hat Linux, and I love it. My only complaint is no Max Payne on Linux. They should make a Max Linux version. Hell, they should make a Max Linux Distribution! I'd buy it. It'd come with a bullet-time Penguin game. Yeah, a renegade penguin out for revenge. It'd be epic.

Unfortunately, when it comes to games, Linux users get pretty much ignored. This'll change in time (within the next ten years perhaps), with more people and companies starting to drop the Windows format.
For the time being, go for dual boot.

Yes. I would like that. Then I could play something other than "Tux Racer".

I've actually seen Max Payne (demo) run on Linux, and it ran well. Check out Transgaming (http://www.transgaming.com) , they have a cool DX wrapper for WINE for Linux.
The only reason why the full version wouldn't run is that the latest safedisc copy protection didn't yet run on Linux.. but maybe they've already solved it.
Of course this is not the same as native Linux, but it's better than nothing.

i heard the only bad thing is the performance, you get a really bad fps loss compared to windows versions..but like markus said, its better than nothing.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Maybe you could make your own safedisc program or something?? My Dad did that for a program he made...
