How do you all feel that like after the sucess of this game there starting to come out with more Cliché's of the real time bullet system and would it be a good thing or bad?

It depends entirely on the games themselves, whether they suck or not.

Has 3D graphics been good or bad for the industry? They're still arguing over that one. Some people say 3D is bad because nowadays everything has to be made out of polygons, and alternate graphics ideas are not possible or at least implausible.

And if people can't tell if a major issue like 3D has been good or bad, how could they be sure about a small gameplay mechanic like bullet time?

Duh.

Well, for what it's worth, Max Payne won Computer Gaming World's "Best Innovation Destined for Overuse" award (http://www.3drealms.com/max/awards.html) , so I'm not sure if Bullet Time will ever become a cliché.

I mean, when developers see that award, they will all conclude that "Looks like everyone and their dog will be putting slo-mo in their games. Should we try something else instead?" images/icons/smile.gif
