I imagine making a 1 on 1, melee fight, exciting is pretty challenging. Did you make the explosion particle effect yourself?

Don't worry Maddie, I like making game content even more than I like PLAYING the games. images/icons/wink.gif And no, Wookie made that particular particle. He is the Particle Master, just like you be the Coding Master. images/icons/smile.gif

1 on 1 fights are a lot of work. A lot of timers and triggers going in in a level to switch the enemy between variuos states of combat and such.

Fnord, that is a Blast Ring. Still pictures don't do it justice. It starts as a white hot light in the center and concussion rings quickly spread out from the center in all directions. Now just gotta get it where the damage radius speads about the same speed as the rings. I wanna get it to where if you can outrun the expanding rings, you can outrun most of the damage. images/icons/smile.gif

Yup, that's right. And Maddie, I was thinking of making some type of arena where the player can fight a few baddies with the katana, and then once they are down, the REAL challenge steps out of the shadows, the big boss. images/icons/smile.gif

You've just GOTTA have me a few cool anims ready for him once I start that level for you. images/icons/smile.gif

I'm cool with the arena and the boss, but I wouldn't mind a brief lead up - a corridor or two first, maybe. We'll need to discuss this in more detail nearer the time - because I'm not 100% on the theme. I think we'll need to brainstorm a bit after I've shown you some of the newer weapons - you'll probably have some more ideas, since some of the weapons have been designed to work with various level layouts.

Lookin good ace, as usual. I dont know if I'm seeing christmas release either.....so much to do so little time. I really hope we can pull it off.

My level will not be huge, only a couple of rooms in fact, I mainly want to spend a ton of effort on making that boss fight as cool as it can be. So, with that, my level and Darth Malice should be ready by Christmas no problem. images/icons/smile.gif

I also have to say that's one bad ass looking AT-ST walker in the background of some of those screen shots!

Is that a static object, dynamic, or a model (like an in game character model) that was made in 3D max, or a some program like it? I was just thinking it would be cool if you could do battle with one of those things, in sort of the same way Solid Snake did with the Metal Gear robot at the end of Metal Gear Solid.

I've got the ATST in game and trying to walk....I'm having problems because milkshape isnt set up to make maxpayne animations loop. So it walks to the end position and freezes, and it looks pretty lame. plus I'm using the maxpayne collision for it so im not sure if projectiles will hit it everywhere.

Ace, a few rooms will be good...I'm not sure mine will be all that big either, as i suck at mapping and texturing, and i have to finish all the rest up too. I'm also working on a saber fight on zeph's old stardestroyer bridge. When i make some significant progress i will email it to you.
The new tesla pFX I've made are looking a bit shitty. They are all blurry and the animation frame rates drop when connected to something moving. I will probably have to start over from scratch. But first I'll try sharpening all the frames in photoshop.
