I've known about this for quite a while actually, but since Kendo has publically released info; I thought "what the hell", and figured that I'd better tell you guys about it. images/icons/smile.gif

Read about 'The Operative' here (http://www.maxpayneheadquarters.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10795)

Nice! I don't recognize that area from Metal Gear Solid though, is that supost to the the place with all the nuke heads before you fight the guy in the tank?

From what I understand, it's a completely new and orignal story. I expect some areas will be inspired by the games, but I don't think they will be from them.

By the way, the screenshots really don't give the skin the justice it deserves. I have an early copy of it somewhere on my hard drive, and it almost looks like came straight out of Sons of Liberty. Grey Fox put a lot of effort into getting the little details right, if I remember correctly.

Aww that's cool, something original images/icons/grin.gif

Yeah, I have to agree, those screen shots don't really show off the Snake model that well, all of the shots are too dark, but still it looks cool. Nice textures. But is that just one level, or a whole pile of them though? I also noticed this guy said his mod is nearly complete too, I can't wait to download it and try it out.

It makes me want to make a mod for Metal Gear 1 on the NES. I would probably have to come up with a new model for Snake though, since he had longer blond hair in the NES series (He died it black in the videos that where in the PSx game).

...Although, I probably would never get the energy to ever get around to starting one

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I think he has about 8 levels planned. As for a release, I think it's still a little way off; but we'll see.

Yeah. It took along time to do. But I gave KENDO the WAYYYYYYYY BETTER model recently. I think he would like you to help him again MaddieMan. The skin is also better. I am ashamed of that old one I did. Look's like sh*t!! images/icons/tongue.gif

Thanks for the comments though on it! images/icons/tongue.gif

^That model looks really good, although I think it would look even better if things like the vest were modeled instead of textured over the body.

If only I had the money to get a program like studio 3D max.

If you have played metal gear solid 2 substance for xbox, you can see the new improved MGS1 snake with the real vest. If you can find a screenshot i would recommend modeling that, its much "cooler" looking.
heres some screens of MGS1 snake (updated to look nicer):

Who do you guys think would win in a fight; Sam Fisher or Solid Snake.

I'd have to go with Fisher... He can do a lot more functions and tactics, not to mention I think he looks more badass.

That your post about Sam Fisher and Solid Snake was as pointless as the "enlarge your wang" e-mails you get for registering into hotmail(No offense intended).

*cough* Anyway, back to the whole point here...
I was thinking that the harrier(in the thread somewhere, when you bother to browser it) is probably not needed in mod, really. If one is needed, it'll probably easier to do one with maxed, rather than playing around with skeletons and/or levels items.

I'll make it clear, it had NOTHING to do with your post, nor your attempt to change the subject.

Moving on... graemlins/tinyted.gif

As for the harrier; Kendo has mentioned to me some rather ambitious ideas concerning vehicles. As far as implementing it as a character is concerned, I would expect a slightly higher degree of flexibility with it - dynamic objects can't aim at you, for example. It all depends what he wants to use it for.
