A little help or advice please

I've never modded in my life for any game...I kinda wanna learn how and hopefully create a mod or atleast map(s) or something for max payne. Can u guys (and girls) give me some tips or helpful ideas?

And where do u get MaxEd? I don't see it with my mp icon on my toolbar so where do i get it????????????? images/icons/confused.gif

Max-Ed is on your Max Payne cd. When you put the cd in your cd-rom you'll get a screen where you can choose from different things, including "install Max FX Tools". So this is how you get Max-Ed.

As for the modding thing, I strongly recommand you to take a look at the official max-ed tutorials (http://www.3drealms.com/max/tutorials/MaxED/index.html). This tutorials will help you all the way up.

heh we aint tellin you how to use maxed it as an app to be mastered. Id check back thru this forum for tips etc.

maxed is installed separatley from the MP disc...

My two cents: Once you've installed the MaxFx-tools the best advise is (the others already gave it): Do the official Remedy tutorials. And I mean: Do not only read them, but really do every example. Additionally you can have a look into the tutorials-section at MPHQ: http://www.maxpayneheadquarters.com/viewindex.php?category=tutorials
Those tutorials were translated from german (by my humble self images/icons/rolleyes.gif ) and I think they're suited for beginners.
And don't forget the help-file on your MP-Cd!
