I was watching one of my favorite movies tonight and I thought it would make an excellent mod. "THE CROW" THe bad thing is i dont know how to make mods. I would love to make this on my own, if someone can steer me in the right direction for making a mod I would appriciate it lots.

You might want to start off by installing the Max-FX tools that can be found on your Max Payne CD and get aquatinted with MaxED, the games level editor. You can find tutorials on how to use it here (http://www.3drealms.com/max/tutorials/index.html), or by clicking on the link at the top of this forum.
You can learn allot about how the game works, and how to mod/edit or add your own things by just playing around with the level editor and the level files. It's the best way to get started.

There's actually a crow tc in the making. I don't know how it's doing progress-wise, but I think you can find out the latest at mphq. Still no reason not to make your own though.

Trial and error i think is the best learning tool, armed with tutorials. Try picking another mod apart, that really helped me in the begining.

I would read the tutorials first though (the official ones)

Wuts the story about i might be interested in making it after EOTD, which i just finished the Fusion Rocket Launcher for! I'd put a nice rendered pic from 3ds but i have to work on ms3d cause i at a school pc. I put the colt to demonstrate size, dont judge it by this, the model i have at home is much more detailed and will be rendered and not in "Rough Mode"

btw, get 3ds max if you can afford it (I think now, the latest version is 800-1000 bucks, just guesing, correct thy if thy is an idiot) great for moddeling ms3d is free for 30 days, try that, wont give things as nice as 3ds but it'll only cost 20 bucks. Oh yeah, and maddie, i got the screenshooting working, FINALLY. you wont believe wut i did, i put "screenshots" instead of "screenshots"! *hits himself in the head*

No reason there can't be more than one of a mod, as long as you don't steal the other guy's content and call it your own. How many Matrix mods we got going now?

Two, maybe three, if you can call the 'True' Matrix mod a Matrix mod. images/icons/tongue.gif

There are no less than six mods and/or levels with the word Matrix in them... Matrixed Reality, Matrix Dojo, Matrix Tribute, Matrix Revealed, Matrix Lobby, and Matrix Revealed-Lobby Edition.
Think I might've even missed one or two. images/icons/shocked.gif

All of the ones you mentioned are effectively dead or finished.
The only active ones that I'm aware of are the True Matrix mod (with each release it gets further and further away from the world of the Matrix), the Matrix mod that Froz is doing, and the Matrix mod that I'm doing.
However, one thing I've noticed is that mods with the word 'Matrix' in the title have significantly more download hits that the rest. So watch out for 'katana 2 the Matrix', in the coming months. images/icons/tongue.gif
Oh, and by the way; you forgot 'Dodge This' - shame on you. graemlins/hhg.gif

I suspect none of them will be updated beyond where they are now, making them both effectively dead and finished.
