Don't worry bout' it, very small things they are, actually, I injoy that immortal while shootdodging thing, sometimes at least, remeber this: "Why do we need realism in PC games when our true intention of playing them is to escape reality?"

oh yah, you, max payne.com tutorials, skip intro if yo intanet sux, post if you have aza probs, oh yeah and as for a tip, extract other mods and play around with em to get the feel of modding. You know, i never imagined a day when I would be saying that.

It means that when you shoot somebody, he falls, doesn't die. Then he gets up and starts to shoot you again. So you have to shoot them to get them killed, just like normally, but they fall down to floor still holding their weapons. When they die they release it.

... and I can't find any good Max Payne coding tutorials... <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Try this one:

It's primarily for animation, but it covers an extensive amount of coding also. Most of the tricks are done in the skin scripts anyway, so you may as well get used to the layout.

My advice would be to download kung fu 2 and try to figure out how it works. Compare the code to the original, play the game to see what difference it makes - then try to replicate it in your own mod to see if you actually understand it. The key things to look at are the skin/skeleton scripts and the projectile scripts - that's where 90% of the coding is done. There are also a few changes you can make in the globalconfig.txt.

Oh, and I recommend a program called ultra edit - the program makes it much easier to read and edit the code.

This let's you do immortal in shootdodging. I may have copied the wrong immortal one but I belive this is the one.

And what the Hell do people mean "See the bullets in Pause mode? I see them when I pause.

Hmmm...enemies getting up after they get killed? dont they have to spawn at a waypoint or something? One thing I can think of off the top of my head joonas is to change the taking damage animation to specify an fsm change to a shoot dodge animation in the enemys skin file (will crash the game if used in maxpaynes skin...or any player skin) Then change the shootdodge animations to the death animations....modify the death animations to have a couple extra seconds of laying on the ground VIA milkshape, then the character will get up VIA the shootdodge get up animation.....(unless u kill him while he lays on the ground.....very dishonerable.)

Well, if u did it that way, then u would have to animate falling over and getting up in the same animation. If you did it VIA the shoot dodges, there are already getup anims. But it would still look messed up cuz those getup anims are designed for getting up from a shootdodge.
