MP2 & Woden

I was just thinking about this after I played through Max Payne again the past few days.

At the end, Woden is standing there watching Max get loaded into the back of the police car with a grin on his face. I think Woden will play a more active role in MP2.

I think Woden will some how get Max out of prison, and play somewhat of a bodygaurd/assistance person in MP2. Of course, this is just what I think, I could be dead wrong.

Don't forget, of course, that Vladimir is still around. Seeing as Woden was the only survivor of the inner circle massacre, I think he might actually be Max's enemy in the next game. Maybe that videotape Max pinched will be of some use.

From Max Payne there are three people that could appear in the sequel,Vladimir,Alfred Woden and Mona Sax,because I personally don't think she's dead.Now whether Max goes against Woden or not I can't say but the tape does seem strange to have in the game.

Hey now, let's not forget Cognitti. That little weasel isn't just gonna sit back and let Max live. I think he's planning some revenge!

As Max himself said, Gogniti has the brains but lacks the balls to do anything,especially to go after Max ,after what he did to him.

Gognitti was shot in the gut. Chances are he bled to death; painfully and slowly. He aint coming back.

But I must admit, they've left plenty of options open for the sequel.

I'll say,Sam Lake did an excellent job,I finished the game on Dead on Arrival and now I'm doing New York Minute and I still enjoy the story.It's like a favorite movie that you watch over and over again.

No one's dead unless the game says they're dead. Max left Gognitti in an alley with a whole mob at his fingertips. Then he went out and killed all the mobsters, however.

In another thread, someone mentioned the possibility of Nicole Horne surviving.

Personally, I think it would be a really stupid plot twist if they brought back a dead character from the first game.

Imagine, towards the end of the second game, Max finds out the truth about his family's murder...

The last plot was good, so why wouldn't the second one be? Sam Lake is not an idiot, he wont bring her back from the dead unless the plot heavily depended on it (which it wont).

1. nicole horne, smashed in a burning helecopter

2. mona sax, was shot in the head with a high calaber bullet

3. lisa punchinillo, was raped and killed

4. angelo punchinllo, was shot by several killer suits with m4 carbines (colt commando)

5. gotnitti, lost respect of the mob, oh yeah and he was shot in the gut by a 9mm high powered beretta semi-auto.

6. jack lupino, was shot several time in the head.

7. michelle, was killed by crazy, phyco druggies.

8. the baby, same as above (or she could come back at about age um oh say 15 and is like an american version of kate archer or lara croft, or a confused crossdresser/pamula anderson.)

Lacks Brain said to Whiny Gognitti: "Your rights will be read at your funeral" and pointed his gun at him. I assumed this meant he shot him dead, though they don't explicitly show this, nor do you hear any gunshots.

I reckon Woden will betray Payne. Payne will have to use his blackmail tape and hunt Woden down. Then kill him like a mad dog in a dusty street.
