In one of magazines I saw that Sam Lake was called Sami Yarvi. I'm at a loss.

Sami Jarvi, but pronounced Yarvi. It means "Sam Lake" in Finnish. His "Sam Lake" name came about as a result of translating his real name into English.

In my ignorance, I always assumed that Sam was an American. graemlins/doh.gif silly me.
