For movies, read this thread:

To use the camera, you need to active 'developerkeys' as explained in the MaxFx-Tools help document. Then enable the free camera with 'C'. You can move it around with the mouse and the arrow keys.
hey there dark night...
for your first question, I direct you to my favorite tutorial on controlling 'ze camera
... ok, apparently that tutorial doesn't exist anymore... images/icons/frown.gif
the second question... what do you mean record? so you can play it in cinematics? or on tv, or what?

I presume he meant record gameplay footage on his computer -- like the kung fu videos. So, like I said in the other thread, use fraps.
The other way is to hook up your VCR to your PC, and then record it back onto your PC. I think it requires a compatible graphics card though.

We've had an awful load of new matrix mods being started, haven't we?
I bet when The Real World is released, we'll see loads of mods like THE REAL TRUE MATRIX WORLD or THE REAL ULTIMATE MATRIX or THE MATRIXED WORLD released. images/icons/tongue.gif

Oh joy! Another fun no-new-maps mod featuring Neo!

Well, to add on Maddie's tutorial, Fraps is pretty good. Most video cards don't have video in, unless you got a neato-cool all-in-wonder. Also, there are plenty of quick-n-easy RCA Video/S-Video capture cards. Heck... I think I have a USB (1.0... eep!) capture unit in my garage.
So... Fraps is some great software related capturing. It's cheap compared to a new 30 dollar PCI card. If you don't want to mess with VCR's, it's your only chance.
Also, you might want to get some sort of true video-editing software. There's tons of it floating out there, and can help you cull the useless bits out of your minutes of footage. Plus, you can put it to music!
Keep in mind that VC (video capture) takes up hella space in your hard drive. I usually free up an entire drive, to eliminate problems on my main drive with swapping and stuff. I recommend not recording at a size over 640x480 to start with, unless you know you need the clarity for a disc or something. Everyone else has to download it, so keep it easy on them.
