Hey! Im back! Anyone miss me?

Thats all well and good but i've gotta few problems...
[LIST] 1. The last time i made pictures of MP gameplay, they came out in some weird format i've never heard of.

2. I have no clue how to get a avatar image on here (the best bullten board ever) much less my own pictures.

profile/ >>view/update profile<< at the top and in the middle.
then it says avartar image, then copy a URL to a Avartar, say mine, then it would come up in your next post as an avartar images/icons/smile.gif
and as for the fuzzy screens, what are you using, the regular paint, some other thing, what?
and dont know ya, but W/B

You can get a free web site very easily though, but I don't know of any that allow posting pictures for free. You can get around this, at least on geocities, by saving the picture as *.txt instead of *.jpg or *.gif.

First off, this thread (http://forums.3drealms.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=010583) discusses image hosting.

Once you have your image hosted, you can make it an avatar by copying the image's url into the "custom url" text box on the avatar selection window (through profile). The image should appear after you hit the "set url" button. Then simply hit the "Select this avatar button" and bingo.

The last time i made pictures of MP gameplay, they came out in some weird format i've never heard of.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">The file format is tga - targa. Most photo/image applications can open and edit them (except ms paint); don't forget to change them to jpg first, before posting. Failing that, you can always use the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard to copy it to your clipboard and then paste it into paint.

With that out of the way, let's get this thread off the ground. I've posted links to my screenshots because they're quite large and I don't want to bog down the thread with large downloading times.

images/icons/smile.gif Kickass pictures, Maddieman!

images/icons/confused.gif Just one question, I only have two imaging programs (MS Paint, and Kodak Imaging), neither of which work, so do ya think you can tell me just one program (free please) that'll convert the images?

Try The GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/). It's freeware, and constantly updated by user made add-ons and presets. You can open and edit almost every image file type, except GIF - which is patented. As you might have guessed, it was originally designed for the UNIX platform, but it there's a Windows version on the site too.
